Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

1)How old is a man whose age fifteen years ago was two-fifths of

what it will be in 6 years?

Let say Man is  M years

15 years ago = M - 15

after 6 Year = M + 6

2/5 of after 6 years = (2/5)(M + 6)

=> M - 15 = (2/5)(M + 6)

=> 5M - 75 = 2M + 12

=> 3M = 87

=> M = 29

Man is 29 Years old

2)

Distance covered by Rehana going hospital = 12.5  km

Charges for 1st 5 km = 32.75 Rs

charges for remaining  = (12.5- 5) * 9.5 = 71.25 Rs

Amount = 32.75 + 71.25 = Rs 104

Distance covered by Rehana while returning= 12.5 + 2.3  = 14.8 km

Charges for 1st 5 km = 32.75 Rs

charges for remaining  = (14.8- 5) * 9.5 = 93.1 Rs

Amount = 32.75 + 93.1 = Rs 125.85

Total amount to be paid  = 104 + 125.85 = 229.85 Rs

3)

Let say cost of Eraser = E  Rs

Cost of Pencil = 2E  Rs

8 * 2E  + 4E = 100

=> 20E = 100

=> E = 5

Cost of Eraser = rs 5

Cost of Pencil = Rs 10
