Development including thinking about our aspirations and needs according to our circumstances. People use different ways to achieve their desire and needs. Sometimes people have some conflicting and some common goals.
Conflicting goals :
Sometimes two persons may have conflicting desires. We can take an example of an industrialist and a farmer for a multipurpose dam project. The industrialist is in favour of constructing dam because he got lots of benefits like electricity for industry, water etc.
But on the other side a farmer whose land submerged under the water because of construction of dam. So the farmer is not in favour of dam construction.
Common goal :
Besides so many differences some goals are common for everyone. These are better income, freedom, security, equal treatment, social respect etc. In fact, in some cases these things are not important than income for some people.
