Due to the French Revolution, the monarchy was abolished till 1799 in France because in 1799 Napoleon took over the throne and in 1815 due to Treaty of Vienna,the conservative regime was set up again. The power went in the hands of National Assembly. Finally Monarchy got over from France in 1848, when the National Assembly declared France as a Republic.
