1) How will you distinguish between a plane mirror, a convex mirror and concave mirror without touching them? Explain

2) Draw a diagram to illustrate the recombination of dispersed light by a prism into white light.

3) Why does sunrise and sunset appear to us a little earlier and little later than the actual sunrise and sunset? Draw a diagram to illustrate it.

for first question
1.plane mirror always form virtual images.
2.plane mirror always form same size image as of object.
Pick these two points
check images if they have vafiations in size then they are not formed by plane mirror.

Now see

3.Convex mirror always form small and upright image .
4.Concave mirror forms inverted image ,size may vary.
5.Concave will show upright only in one case that is when object is in between Pole and Focus.
Now from 3,4,5

(a) if ur image is upright and small then surely h have convex
(b)if upright and big ,then concave mirror.

Note : concave also give same sixed image (at 2f) but inverted .


For second question I think I should attach a image for clearity.
