1. (i)What do you mean by atmospheric pressure?
(ii)Why does a fountain pen start leakage at higher altitudes ?
Answers
Answer:
(I) pressure exerted by atmosphere (air) is called atmosphere pressure.
(ii) Because the pressure inside the pen remains same but at higher altitude the pressure of atmosphere is less. so the ink flows as per it's pressure and the less atmospheric pressure cannot exert that much pressure to stop the flow.
hope it helps
Answer:
Here is your answer:
Explanation:
Ans 1) The force or thrust exerted by the atmospheric air on a unit area is defined as atmospheric pressure.
The approximate value of atmospheric pressure on the earth's surface is 1.013 x 105 Pa. The atmospheric pressure at a point is the same in all directions.
Ans 2) The fountain pen leak at high at altitude is because of low air pressure. The ink inside the fountain pen has high pressure compared to the low atmospheric at high altitudes. So the ink flows flows out of it.
