Answer:

mass of salt(solvent)=170g

mass of solution=650g

mass of solution =mass of solvent+mass of solute

650g=170g+mass of solvent

mass of solvent=650g-170g=480g.

concentration of solution=mass of solute /mass of solution*100

concentration =170/650*100

concentration=26.153841538415384.........

Given : 170 g of salt is dissolved to make 650g of solution.

To find : Calculate the concentration of solution?

Applying formula :

1) Mass of solution = Mass of solute + Mass of solvent.

2) Mass percentage = Mass of solute/Mass of solution × 100.

Calculations :

→ Mass of solution = 170 + 650

→ Mass of solution = 820

→ Mass percentage = 170/380 × 100

→ Mass percentage = 0.044 × 100

→ Mass percentage = 4.4%

Therefore, 4.4% is the mass percentage of the solution.
