x + 3 = 0

x = -3

2x²+5x-m = 0

2×(-3)²+5×(-3)-m = 0

2×9+(-15)-m = 0

18-15-m = 0

3-m = 0

-m = -3

m = 3

Option B is correct

The value of m is ?

(b) 3.

Step-by-step explanation:

2x²+5x-m divisible by x+3  m = ?

by zeros of polynomials

  • f(x) = 2m² + 5m - m
  • g(x) = x + 3

     If g(x) = 0.2

         x+3 = 0    x =  -3

Then f(x) = 2(-3)² + 5(-3) - m = 0

                 2 (9) +  (-15)   - m = 0

                      18 - 15            = m

                          3 = m

  • The value of m is 3
  • If  x - 3, The remainder is 0.
