1. If A(5 ,-1), B(-3,-2) and C(-1,8) are the vertices of a triangle ABC, using distance formula check whether this triangle is equilateral triangle or not.

2. The midpoint of the line segment AB shown in the diagram below is M(4, -3).
Write down the coordinates of A and B.

M(4, -3)

in first eq.u use distance to take each side of triagle if all side are equals so it is equilateral traingle otherwise it will not

and 2

use the formula of midpoints

X1+X2/2=4

X1+X2=8 if X1=a,X2= O

So,a=8

same as like in co ordinates of y of A&B

Y1+Y2=-6 if Y2=0 & Y1=b

so, b=-6

so coordinates of A&B are(8,0) &(0,-6) respectively
