Answer:- 9

Step by Step Solution:-

Given,

f(x) = x² - 2x + 1

To find f(-2) we simply put x = -2 in given polynomial,

So,

f(-2) = (-2)² - (2 × -2) + 1

f(-2) = 4 - (-4) + 1

f(-2) = 4 + 4 + 1

f(-2) = 9

Note :- f(x) denotes a function. A function is a relationship between depended variable and independent variable. Here 'x' is independent variable and f(x) which is also denoted by 'y' is dependent variable. 'y' varies with respect to 'x'

Let us understand by an example

f(x) = 2x + 3

f(x) = sin(x)

f(x) = exp(x)

These are some functions of x.
