Question:-

  • If length is twice of breadth of a rectangle and perimeter is 48 cm.

To find:-

  • Find the area of rectangle.

Solution:-

Given:-

  • Let breadth be 'x'.
  • Let length be '2x'.
  • Perimeter is 48 cm.

Answer:-

Perimeter = 2(l+b)

48 = 2(2x-x)

48 = 4x - 2x

-4x - 2x = -48

-2x = -48

x = -48/-2

x = 24

Hence,

  • Breadth = 24cm.
  • Length = 2x = 2(24) = 48cm
