Answer: (iv) none of these

Step-by-step explanation:

P = 45 - [5 + (60 - (39 - 8)}]   and   Q = -12 + [25-2 {16 - 9}]

  = 45 - [5 + (60 - 31)]                         = -12 + [25 - 2(144)]

  = 45 - (5 + 29)                                  = -12 + (25 - 288)

  = 45 - 34                                          = -12 + ( -263)

P =11                                                    = -12 - 263

                                                       Q = -275

∴ P + Q = 11 + (-275)

             = 11 - 275

P + Q = -264

Answer:

-10

Step-by-step explanation:

P = 45 - [5 + (60 - (39 - 8)}]   and

 = 45 - [5 + (60 - 31)]

 = 45 - (5 + 29)

 = 45 - 34

 P =11

 Q = -12 + [25-2 {16 - 9}]

 = -12 + [25 - 2(7)]

 = -12 + (25 - 14)

 = -12 + ( 11 )

 Q = -1

| P | + | Q |

as per additive inverse,

| 11 | + | -1 |

-11 + 1

-10

Hope it helps.
