1. If p(x) = 5 - 4x + 2x², find

(ii) p(3),
(iii) p(-2)​

(a) p(0) = 5 - 4×0 + 2×(0)^2 = 5-0+0 = 5 .

(b) p(3) 5- 4×3+2× (2)^2 = 5- 12 + 8= 13-12 = 1 .

(c) p(-2) = 5 - 4×(-2)+ 2× (-2)^2= 5+8+8= 21 .
