1. If sin A 3/5, find (1) cos A (ii) cot A ​

Slv. - sin A = P/H = 3/5.

Which meana perpendicular is 3 and hypotenuse is 5.

So by using Pythagoras we find the vaule of the third side which is the base of this right angle triangle,

H^2 = P^2 + B^2,

5^2 = 3^2 + B^2,

25 = 9 + B^2,

25 - 9 = B^2,

16 = B^2,

√16 = B,

4 = B,

B = 4.

We have found out the base also = 4.

Now the value of cos A = B/H = 4/5.

cot A = B/P = 4/3.
