THE VALUE OF secA IS 5/4 AND THE VALUE OF cosA IS 4/5.

EXPLANATION:-

Given-

tanA = 3/4

tanA = 3/4

To find - secA and cosA

For secA-

tanA = 3/4 (given)

Or, (tanA)² = (3/4)² {squaring both sides}.

Or, tan²A = 9/16

Or, sec²A-1 = 9/16

{since sec²A =Tan²A+1. Therefore tan²A = sec²A-1}

Or, Sec²A = 9/16+1

Or, sec²A = 9+16/16 {By taking LCM}

Or, sec²A = 25/16

Or, secA = 5/4

{By Transporting square to RHS}

Therefore the required value of secA = 5/4.

For cosA-

We know that cosA = 1/secA

Or, cosA = 1/5/4 {since sec A = 5/4}

Or, cosA = 4/5

Therefore the required value of cosA = 4/5
