old rectangle will that of the new rectangle be?

Answer:

1) perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

lenght =x

breadth = y

perimeter = 2(x+y)

2) l and b are doubled

perimeter =2(2x+2y)

perimeter =2×2 (x+y) [2 is taken common in both 2x,2y]

perimeter=4(x+y)

the perimeter of old one is half of 2nd one

it is doubled then 1st 0ne
