Given :

  • Fraction \huge\sf\frac{x}{y}

To find :

  • Find \huge\sf\frac{x}{y} = ?

Solution:

\sf\huge\implies 1 Add numerator and 1 subtract from Denominator.

\sf\huge\implies \frac{x +1}{y - 1} = 1, \rightarrow x - y = -2 ....(i)

If we add only 1 to Denominator.

\sf\huge\implies \huge\sf\frac{x}{y + 1} = \huge\sf\frac{1}{2}. \rightarrow 1x - y = 1 ....(ii)

\thereforeFrom equation (i) and (ii) By subtracting

\sf\huge\implies 2x - y = 1

\sf\huge\implies x - y = -2

\sf\huge\implies (-) (+). (+)

\sf\huge\implies x = 3

\huge\sf\rightarrowtail x = 3,

\huge\sf\rightarrowtail 2x- y =1,

\huge\sf\rightarrowtail 2x - 3 - y = 1,

\huge\sf\rightarrowtail y = 5,

\sf\huge\implies x = 3

\sf\huge\implies y = 5

Hence , the fraction is \huge\sf\frac{3}{5}
