In an AP common difference (d) = a2 - a1 = a3 - a2 = a4 - a3 = ........

=> (2x + 1 ) - (x - 3) = (4x+3) - ( 2x + 1)

=> 2x + 1 - x + 3 = 4x - 2x + 3 - 1

=> x + 4 = 2x + 2

=> x = 2

Step-by-step explanation:

in an AP the common difference is same

so,(2x+1) - (x-3) = (4x+3) - (2x+1)

2x+1-x+3 = 4x+3-2x-1

2x-x-4x+2x =3-1-1-3

-x = -2

x=2
