1. Ifx + y = 10 and x²+ y²= 52, find xy.​

 \sf  \underline{Given} \:  :   \:  x + y = 10 \\  \:  \: \:  \:  \:  \:     \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \sf{x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2}  = 52

 \sf{ \underline{To  \:  \: find} : xy}

 \sf {(x + y)}^{2}  = {x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2}  + 2xy

\sf {10}^{2}  = 52 + 2xy

\sf 100  = 52 + 2xy

\sf 100   - 52=  2xy

\sf   2xy = 48

\sf   xy =  \frac{48}{2}

\sf   \fbox{ xy =24}
