1. Imagine that you are the supervisor of a factory, which produces 2400 pet
bottles in 12 hours everyday. A situation arises that the next day the factory
needs to be closed for 2 hours for maintenance. By how much should the
productivity increase per hour so that there is no loss of production?​

Answer:

In 12 hrs no of bottles produced =2400

In 1 hr no of bottles produced = 2400/12=200

next day work for 10 hrs, but production has to be 2400 bottles

So in 1 hr no of bottles to be produced = 2400/10= 240 bottles

So increase in bottles per hr = 240 - 200 = 40
