Time: 1:00 p.m.
Dear Diary,
Today is my birthday, but I can't say that I am very happy. In fact I am feeling miserable. Mother is too far away and Papa is too busy working. The children around me are all bullies and I do not intend to get bullied by them today; so, I will steer clear of them. There is no one to celebrate the day with. The only thing left to do is go to the court and practice. The harder I play, the better I will get at tennis and the sooner will I succeed. I think I will dedicate this birthday and the next four or five birthdays to making my dream come true. That will be my birthday gift to myself and to my family! I am already feeling better after writing down my thoughts. So, here I go!
