n(E u M) = 25
n(E) = 12
n(E)-n(EnM) = 8
i)n(EnM) = 12-8 =4
ii)n(EuM) = n(E) + n(M) - n(EnM)
maths but not economics = n(M)-n(EnM)
= n(EuM)-n(E)
= 25 - 12 = 13
