Answer:

(I) Fraction of students that like to study English = 1/5

Total number of students = 40

No. of students that like to study English = 40×1/5

= 40/5= 8 students that like to study English

(ii) Fraction of students that like to study Mathematics = 2/5

Total no. of students = 40

No. of students that like to study math = 40×2/5 = 80/5 = 16

(iii) No. of students that like to study math = 16

No. of students that like to study English = 8

Sum of number of students who like math and number of students who like English = 16 +8 = 22

Total number of students Present on the class = 40

Number of students who like science = 40-22 = 18

Fraction of students that like science = 18/40 = 9/20

or u could write fraction of students who like science as 2/5 acc to the question

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

1) 1/5 like to study english .

so 1/5 of 40 = 8 students

2) 2/5 like to study maths

so 2/5 of 40 = 16 students

3 ) so remaining = 5/5 - 3/5 = 2/5 students

so 2/5 of 40 = 16 students like science.
