1) In a rectangle of perimeter one metre , one side is 5 centimetres longer than the other .

Let breadth=x
Length=x+5(given)
Perimeter=1 m=100 cm
Perimeter=2(l+b)=2(x+x+5)
=2(2x+5)=4x+10
Therefore 4x+10=100
4x=90
X=22.5
Breadth=22.5 cm
Length=22.5+5=27.5 cm
