AB^2+CA^2= 324.

BC = 18.

AD = ?

AD is a median of a triangle.

: BC = 2BD .

BD = BC÷ 2

= 18 / 2.

BD = 9.

therefore by Apollonius theorem.,

AB^ 2 + AC^ 2= AD^2 + BD^2

324= AD^2 + (9) ^ 2

324= AD^ 2 + 81

324 - 81 = AD^ 2

AD^ 2= 243

taking square root to both side.

: AD = ~15.59 Unit

length of median is approximately 15. 59 unit.
