DFC may be connected with GFC at some levels: some of the organisms of DFC are prey to the GFC animals. These interconnections of food chains make a food web ...

In an aquatic ecosystem, GFC or grazing food chain is the main conduit of energy because here food chain begins from plants, i.e. phytoplanktons( primary producers), which are in turn eaten by zooplanktons. Zooplanktons are then eaten by different fishes which are taken in by pelicans.

Grazing food chains are the ones in which the first trophic level is formed by plants,i.e. energy is derived by the process of photosynthesis and this energy gets transferred to the herbivores.

The same is observed in case of an aquatic ecosystem.
