We know that AOC and BOC are linear pair of angles
Therefore, AOC+BOC=180
(2y+5)+3x=180
2y+5+75=180
2y+80=180
2y=180-80
2y=100
y=100/2
y=50°
(ii) Given y= 35°
Therefore, AOC+BOC=180
(2y+5)+3x=180
(2×35+5)+3x=180
75+3x=180
3x=180-75
3x=105
x=105/3
x=35
