ANSWER

△ABC is a right angled triangle. So, by Pythagoras theorem

AC2=AB2+BC2=72+72=98

∴AC=98=72 cm

Arc A−B−C is a semicircle. ∴AC=72 cm is the diameter of the semicircle.

Area of the shaded portion = Area of semi-circle (A−B−C)− Area of △ABC

=21×4πd2−21×AB×BC

=2×7×422×98−27×7

=14 cm2
