The value of m is 36

Step-by-step explanation:

In the given figure

∵ PQ is parallel to OR

And OP is a transversal line

∴ ∠QPO + ∠POR = 180°      (Sum of the angles on same side of parallel lines)

or, ∠POR = 180°- ∠QPO

or, ∠POR = 180°- m°

Similarly

∠PQR = 180°- 2m°

The external angle

∠POR = 360° - Internal ∠POR

    = 360° - (180°- m°)

    = 180°+ m°

From the properties of circle

External angle ∠POR = 2(∠PQR)

or, 180°+ m° = 2(180°- 2m°)

or, 180°+ m° = 360°- 4m

or, 5m° = 180°

or, m° = 180°/5 = 36°

Therefore, the value of m is 36
