1.IN WINTERS, QUILTS FILLED WITH COTTON ARE USED FOR PROTECTION FROM COLD.WHY ARE THE QUILTS NOT FILLED WITH WOOL ? 2.NOWADAYS ANIMAL RIGHT ACTIVISTS ARE AGAINST THE USE OF SOME NATURAL FIBRES,LIKE SILK AND WOOL ( PASHMINA ). WHY ?

1. Wool is expensive than cotton so people fill their quilt with cotton and not with wool. 
2. Because in some cases animals do not survive in the process of getting fibre out of them. As for example, when the worm covers it self with silk in cocoon stage, people put them in hot water which kills the cocoon and get the silk separate

quilts are filled with fluffy cotton because they check heat from our body to escape and thus keep us warm
