1. They would complain to the manager of the restaurant about the carelessness because it is supposed to be a fine dining restaurant .

2. The problem must have started when fresh produce brought in the restaurant for cooking was not taken care of or stored properly.

3. I would sincerely apologize for the blunder and try to make up to them by not charging them for their meal.

4. I would scold the person responsible for handling the produce and the person incharge for making the salad. I would make sure to inspect the produce my self before it is served to the diners.

The answer of the questions are given below

Explanation:

  1. The dining couple would be highly disappointed upon the discovery since they were there to have a fine dining experience, instead, it all ruined.
  2. The problem occurred due to irresponsibility at multiple levels instead of just one. The department responsible for cleaning the fresh stock, the department responsible for preparing the meals, and also the one responsible for presenting them.
  3. If I were the manager of the establishment, I would thoroughly apologize to the couple for ruining their evening and also would make sure they don't need to pay for the salad. Not only that I would also offer them a complimentary dish on the house.
  4. I would make sure to scold the staff and let them know the consequences that would be harmful to the establishment.
