Solution :-
Let us assume that, total charges is equal to x and total number of hours are y .
Than,
→ charges for first hour = P30
→ charges for next (y - 1)hours = P15(y - 1)
So,
Total charges for y hours :-
→ x = 30 + 15(y - 1)
→ x = 30 + 15y - 15
→ x = 15 + 15y
→ x = 15(y + 1) (a)
Now,
→ Total time given = 7AM to 3PM = 8 hours.
Therefore,
→ Total charge for 8 hours = 15(8 + 1) = 15 * 9 = P135.00. (b) .
Now,
→ Time period is 9AM to 11:30 PM = 14 hours , 30 minutes = 15 hours. { since fraction of an hour also have same fees.}
Therefore,
→ Total charges of car owner = 15(15 + 1) = 15 * 16 = P240.00 (c).
