The society teaches boys and girls in their infancy as to what is expected of them. Their attitudes and behaviour patterns shaped by the society which consider boys to be superior to girls in all respect. Boys are taught to be aggressive and assertive whereas girls are told to be submissive , coy and docile. A family spends more on the diet, health and education of a male child than that of a female child.
