जब संतति की उत्पत्ति एकल जनक द्वारा युग्मक निर्माण से होती है तो यह एसेक्सुअल रिप्रोडक्शन कहतला है।
Explanation:
When the progeny originates from the formation of gametes by a single parent, then this called asexual reproduction. In this type of reproduction, the offspring inherits genes and traits of a single parent involved only, that is why it is the most common type of reproduction taking place in environments and habitat that support rapid population growth over genetic diversity.
Many different species produce through many different types of asexual reproduction, but it is most common in unicellular and prokaryotes.
There are mainly five types of asexual reproduction that take place-
- Spores
- Fission
- Vegetative reproduction
- Budding
- Fragmentation
Spores- Spores are the structure that grows naturally as a part of an organism’s life cycle and designed for separation from the organism and dispersal via a medium such as air or water. Under suitable conditions, the organism sheds its spores which are considered entirely separate and autonomous organisms. For example, fungi, green, algae, molds, are some organisms that reproduce asexually through spores.
Fission- This is also known as binary fission. It takes place in some prokaryotes and some protozoa. It occurs at the cellular level. In this context of the cell replicate internally and then undergo division. For example, Amoeba and some other bacteria are the organisms that reproduce asexually through fission.
Vegetative reproduction- Some organisms reproduce without the need for seeds or spores. It includes the prostrate aerial stems of strawberries, the bulbs of tulips, the tubers of potatoes, the shoots of dandelions and the keikis of orchids.
Budding- A process by which an entirely new organism grows on an existing one is known as budding. It takes place in organisms like yeast, viruses.
Fragmentation- An organism physically splits and develops new, genetically identical organisms out of each segment. Worms with segmentation and echinoderms such as starfish reproduce asexually through fragmentation.

Asexual reproduction.
Explanation:
- Reproduction may be defined as the process of the origin of the new individual from their parents. Two main types of reproduction are sexual reproduction and asexual reproduction.
- The asexual reproduction is the process of the formation of the progeny from the single parent. No distinction of male and female is important in asexual reproduction.
- The progeny is morphological and genetically similar to the parent individual. Little variation is produced in the progeny.
- The asexual reproduction is fast and simple organisms undergoes the process of asexual reproduction.
