Solution :-

As per the rule regarding the dimensions of the UAE flag, the length of the flag is twice its width. The ratio of the length to breadth is 2 : 1 .

So, Let length of flag is 2x unit and breadth is x unit .

then,

→ Perimeter of flag = 2(Length + Breadth)

A/q,

→ 2(2x + x) = 18

→ 2 * 3x = 18

→ 6x = 18

→ x = 3 unit

therefore,

→ Length of flag = 2x = 2 * 3 = 6 unit .

→ Breadth of flag = x = 3 unit .

hence,

→ Area of the flag made by Jamal = Length * Breadth = 6 * 3 = 18 units ² .
