Given : Jogging at their normal speeds, Usha takes 3 minutes to jog once around a running track,

Tessie takes 4 minutes to do the same.

 Usha's normal jogging speed is 12 km/hr,

To Find :  Tessie's normal jogging speed

Solution:

Usha takes 3 minutes to jog once around a running track,

Let say Track length = 12L m

Usha speed = 12L/3  =  4L m/s

Tessie takes 4 minutes  to jog once around a running track,

Tessie speed = 12L/4  =  3L m/s

Usha speed : Tessie speed  = 4L : 3L

=> Usha speed : Tessie speed  = 4  : 3

Usha's normal jogging speed is 12 km/hr,

Tessie's normal jogging speed  = T km/hr

=> 4/3  = 12/T

=> T = 9 km/hr

Tessie's normal jogging speed = 9 km/hr

HELLO DEAR,

GIVEN:-

Usha takes 3 minutes to jog once around a running track.

Tessie takes 4 minutes to do the same.

Usha jogging speed = 12km/h

=( 10/3) m/s.

To find the jogging speed of Tessie.

SOLUTION:-

Let the total distance of jogging track = X.

So by using,

speed = distance / time.

Usha speed =( 10/3)m/s.

time = 3 minutes

= 180 s.

Speed = distance/time.

10/3 = X/ 180

X = (10×180)/3

= 600m.

Therefore speed of Tessie,

Speed= distance / time

Speed = 600/ 240

= 2.5 m/ s.

Speed of Tessie = 2.5 m/s.

To change it into km/h,

We have to multiple by 18/5.

2.5× 18/5 = 9 km/h.

Therefore , speed of Tessie = 9 km/h.

I HOPE IT'S HELP YOU DEAR,

THANKS.
