2x kimas age + x his sister age = 36 so now 3x = 36 x= 12 now multiply 12×2=24 is kimas age and 12 is her sister gae

let's Kim's age is '2 X ' and her sister's age is ' X ' .
then ,
2x+X = 36
3X = 36
X = 36/3
X = 12
therefore here sister's age is 12*2=24
