Answer: King Tut was buried in a coffin made of pure gold “lavished with glittering goods”.The mummy of King Tut was lavished with glittering ornaments. It was decorated with precious collars, inlaid necklaces, rings, bracelets, amulets and a ceremonial apron. There were also sandals, sheaths for his fingers and toes and the inner coffin and mask. All of them were of pure gold.
