Given:

  • 1L of oil is poured from a vessel into 8 bottles.
  • Each bottle can hold 100ml .

To Find:

  • How much oil is poured and how much is left.

Answer:

Given that in eight bottle of capicity 100ml 1 L of oil is poured .

Now if one bottle can hold 100ml , then eight bottles can hold (8×100)ml = 800ml .

Hence 800ml of oil is poured.

Also , amount of oil left

= ( 1L - 800ml )

= (1000ml - 800ml)

= 200ml

Hence 200ml of oil was left .
