• Rowlatt Act allowed political cases to got tried without juries and permitted imprisonment of the suspects without trial. The act was passed by the Imperial Legislative Council in February 1919. Gandhi organized hartal, a  through non-violence by stopping the work on 6th Aprill, 1919.

• Mahatma Gandhi designed the Swaraj Flag in 1921.  It was the tricolour flag ( red, green, white) with a spinning wheel in the centre. It represented Gandhiji as an ideal of self help. The three colours of flag signifies sacrifice purity and hope.

• In December 1929, under the Presidency of Jawaharlal Nehru, the Lahore Congress adopted the demand of 'Purna Swaraj' or full independence.  

• Gandhiji broked the salt laws at 6:30 am on 6 April 1930, it sparked a flame in acts of civil disobedience against the British Raj salt laws by indians. Gandhiji continued to make salt by the process of evaporation along the movement across coast and moving forward with this act and addressing people.
