Let the breadth of the rectangle be x.

Then length will be 2x-16.

Perimeter = 2( length+breadth)

Length+ Breadth = 50

x+2x-16 = 50

3x-16 = 50

3x = 50+16

x = 66÷3

 = 22

Length = 2 x 22 - 16 = 44 - 16 = 28 cm

Breadth = 22

Hope it helps u....

Answer:

Let the breadth of rectangle be x

Length of rectangle= 2x - 16

Perimeter of rectangle= 2(L+B)

= 2(2x -16)

Given perimeter = 100cm

2(2x-16)= 100

2x -16 = 100/2

2x -16 = 50

2x = 50+16

2x = 66

x= 66/2

x= 33

therefore breadth of rectangle is 33cm.

Length of rectangle 2(33)-16

66-16=50.
