Given :-

  • Length of Rectangle = (3x - 7) cm
  • Breadth of Rectangle = (4x + 8) cm

To Find :-

  • Area

Solution

Formula Used :-

  • Area of Rectangle = Length × Breadth

So, length and breadth are given in this question and we have to find the area

So, solving further

→ (3x - 7) × (4x + 8)

→ (3x - 7)(4x + 8)

→ 3x × 4x + 3x × 8 - 7 × 4x - 7 × 8

→ 12x² + 24x -28x - 56

→ 12x² -4x -56

So, the area is 12x² -4x -56

Answer:

Here, Area of the rectangle is 7/3cm^2 or 2.34cm^2.

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, As per our given question,

=Length of the rectangle=(3x-7)cm

=Breadth of the rectangle=(4x+8)cm

So, Its Area=Length×Breadth

=[(3x-7)×(4x+8)]cm

=[3x(4x+8)-7(4x+8)]cm

=[12x^2+24x-28x-56]cm

=12x^-4x-56=0

=3x^2-x-14=0 (As all numbers are divisible by 4)

Now, by factorizing this polynomial through the middle-term split method,we get,

=3x^2+6x-7x-14=0

=3x(x+2)-7(x+2) (On taking common)

=(3x-7),(x+2)

=3x-7=0 ,x+2=0

=3x=7 ,x=(-2)

=x=7/3

Now, As we get here, Area can never be in minus(-), So, (-2) is not applicable here.

Hence,Area of the rectangle is 7/3cm^2 or 2.34cm^2. (Answer)
