less than 3 times its breadth. if its
perimeter is 72 meters find its area.​

Let the breadth be = x

And the length = 3x-4

Now,

Perimeter= 2(l+b)

72=2(x+3x-4)

72=2(4x-4)

72=8x-8

80=8x

x=10 m

Breadth= 10m

Length = 26m

Area of the rectangular field=l×b

=26×10=260 m²
