Answer:

  1. There are four major types of terrestrial habitat.
  • Forests.
  • Deserts.
  • Mountains.
  • Grasslands.

2 - A cactus is able to survive in the desert due to the following features: (i) It has long roots that go deep inside the soil for absorbing water. (ii) Its leaves are in the form of spines to prevent water loss through transpiration. (iii) Its stem is covered with a thick waxy layer to retain water.

3- Many small aquatic animals use plants such as duckweed for a home, or for protection from predators. Some other familiar examples of aquatic plants might include floating heart, water lily, lotus, and water hyacinth.

4- Cultivated plant taxonomy is the study of the theory and practice of the science that identifies, describes, classifies, and names cultigens—those plants whose origin or selection is primarily due to intentional human activity. Cultivated plant taxonomists do, however, work with all kinds of plants in cultivation.

5 - Because they are plants competing to survive in a limited space, weeds are actively removing nutrients from the soil to grow taller, stronger and healthier each day. ... Proactively managing nutrient levels and eliminating weeds are the best ways to ensure crops have the nutrition they need for the entire growing season.
