(1) The factors affecting the location of industries are the availability of raw material, land, water, labour, power, capital, transport and market. Industries are situated where some or all of these factors are easily available.

(2) Now main producers of iron and steel in the world are China, Japan, USA, Russia, Germany, South Korea, Brazil, Ukraine, India, France, Italy and Great Britain. The other steel-producing countries are South Africa, Australia, Austria, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Romania, Spain, Belgium, Sweden, etc.

(3)In the national flag of India the top band is of Saffron colour, indicating the strength and courage of the country. The white middle band indicates peace and truth with Dharma Chakra. The last band is green in colour shows the fertility, growth and auspiciousness of the land.

(4) The peacock was declared the National bird of India in 1963, because it was entirely a part of Indian custom and culture. A peacock is a symbol of grace and beauty. ... Moreover, no other country had the peacocok as its national bird either. The peacock fulfilled all these and hence became the national bird of India.
