we know an hour has 60 minutes.

and we also know each hour has 60 seconds.

so we should calculate How many seconds are there in 1 hour.

60×60 seconds = 3600 seconds.

Next we should calculate How many meters are there in 1 km.

so, 1km = 1000 m

to convert m/s we should divide seconds / meters

  • 3600 / 1000 = 18/5

Therefore, 1 m/s = 18/5 kmph
