✔ Answer :

1. Man is called the highest animal. Why?

  • Because man has greater affection for their young ones than any other animal. Also the mother and father love and take care of their children is a great deal.

2. Why do only a few eggs laid by a fish develop into fishes?

  • This happens because, the mother fish lays thousands of eggs at a time. But the mother fish do not look after them. She simply leaves the eggs and never comes back to them. As there is no one to look after them, most of the eggs die and only a few of them develop into fishes.

3. How can we say that the hen is a higher animal than the fish?

  • We can say this because the hen cares for its children more than the fish does.

4. What do we call such animals that feed their young ones on milk from the breast?

  • We can call them mammals.

5. On what basis do you put animals into higher and lower groups?

  • On the basis of their behavior towards their children.
