Answer:

Let the cost of 1 mango be Rs.x and the cost of 1 orange be Rs.y

A.T.Q.,

x+2y=22-(i) and 2x+3y=36-(ii)

Multiplying equation (i) by 2

2x+4y=44 -(iii) and 2x+3y=36

Eliminating equations (i) and (ii)

2x+4y=44

2x+3y=36

- - -

y=8

putting the value of y in equation (i)

x+2(8)=22

x+16=22

x=22-16

x=6

Hence, the cost of 1 mango is Rs.6

Hope it helps you!
