Let Lyka be x years old and Margie be 3x years old.
So
15 + x + 3x = 39
15 + 4x = 39
4x = 39 - 15
4x = 24
x = 24/4
x = 6
Therefore ,
Lyka = x = 6 years
Margie = 3x = 6*3 = 18 years
