Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

Mass of the body = 10 kg

To Find :

Mass and weight on the Moon surface

Solution :

Hi,we know the gravity of moon is 1/6 of earth gravity....

So, gravity on earth = 9.8 m/s²

Now mass does not change either we on earth or moon....Because it is always constant...

ANSWER : Mass on moon is also 10kg

Now find weight

Gravity on moon = Gravity on earth / 6

g (moon) = g (earth)/6

g(moon) = 9.8/6

= 1.63 m/s²

Gravity on moon = 1.63m/s²

Weight On moon = mg

= 10 x 1.63

= 16.3 N

Answer : Weight on moon = 16.3 N
