Answer:

0.2 g

Explanation:

Mass of SO₂ = 1.2 g

Molecular weight of SO₂ = 64

Moles of SO₂ = weight/molecular weight

                      = 1.2/64

                      = 3/160 moles

∵ 1 mole of SO₂ contains = 1 mole of S

∴ 3/160 moles of SO₂ contains = 3/160 moles of S

Atomic weight of Sulphur = 32

Therefore weight of the suphur in SO₂ = Atomic Weight × Moles

                                                                 = 32 × (3/160)

                                                                 = 0.2 g

Hope this answer is helpful.
